2025 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD

Each year, the Vermont Chamber of Commerce honors an outstanding Vermonter as the “Citizen of the Year.” This award is presented to the individual who has made major contributions to the betterment of Vermont; has been distinguished through outstanding service to their community and region; and typifies the true spirit of service and self-sacrifice in representing the finest ideals of Vermont citizenship. 

The award, dating back to 1964, will be presented at a May 2025 event. Past recipients include Tom Dee, Senator Patrick Leahy, and Barbara Snelling.

We invite you to nominate an individual who meets these criteria here. Please note that the nomination deadline is Friday, February 14, 2025.
